FAS endeavors to Specialize in Sustainable Design
Winter 2004 - present
Through the participation in multiple collaborative projects, Fitzgerald Architecture Studio is determined to hone it's skills in the Sustainable Design arena.
Two of the most recent sustainable projects that FAS has contributed to are the 1111 Edgewater Condominium Complex in Ocean City, MD, designed by David D. Quillin, AIA, architect of record, and The Office for Planning and Architecture (OPA) in Harrisburg, PA, and Petersburg Commons Green Housing in Duncannon, PA, designed and implemented by OPA. Petersburg Commons is the first recognized affordable Green Housing Project in the State of Pennsylvania.
Tom Fitzgerald, who is a member of both the New Jersey and National Chapters of the United States Green Building Association, will be receiving his LEED Certification in the Summer / Fall of 2009. He also will be participating in the LEED-H (Home) pilot program commencing in 2005.
