Fitzgerald Architecture Studio collaborates with David D. Quillin, AIA, design architect and architect of record, and The Office for Planning and Architecture, as a member of the design development and production team for the 1111 Edgewater Condominium Complex located in Ocean City, Maryland.

The complex consists of two buildings, one five-story, sixteen-unit condominium building and one four-story, two-unit townhouse building, both of which are slated for LEED Certification. The sustainable features of the design include day lighting, excessive waterfront views, a vegetative garden roof, passive cooling with 100% outdoor air, healthy finish materials, minimal site disturbances, and an annual energy and water use savings of over 50% of an equivalent building conventionally designed to meet the current building code. The design of the project also includes a cast-in-place concrete structural frame with metal stud infill, a standing seam metal roof, and cantilevered concrete and open wood decking balconies with views of the bay and surrounding site.
