Our client’s dream of owning a Country French Style Cottage was realized in this 2,800 square-foot, single-story residence located on a twenty-seven acre site in rural New Jersey.

Because they had a specific program already developed, the most formidable challenge was maintaining a cohesive architectural design while incorporating their specific needs and requests. Additionally, the large volume of the structure was manipulated at various stages during the design process to better maintain a sense of appropriate scale without sacrificing square footage.

In accordance with the client’s affinity for the French Country Style, exterior finish materials were selected to create an authentic appearance. The budget-conscious manner in which this was achieved enabled the client to further coordinate interior fixtures, finishes and appliances.  We maintained a close working relationship with our client throughout the project that resulted in a seamless transition between the interior and exterior of their new residence without compromising the initial vision or design of the home.
